Hi all-
I am having an issue which seems to have elements of several other posts on here, but I really don't know where to start as I cannot find any specific errors logged, or failures.
I have a vCenter Server 5.1b (clean installed) managing a half-dozen ESX 5.0/5.1 hosts. The issue appears to be that every 1-2 weeks, vSphere clients connected to the server are disconnected and cannot reconnect until the appliance is rebooted. I've tried both AD authentication and the root login - neither work when this issue occurs. But the appliance does not hang, nor do any services appear to have failed or stopped; when this problem occurs you can still log in to the appliance via the admin web interface, or at the console. The web interface shows no services stopped and no errors. I have tried cycling the services, but this does not resolve the issue either- only a web or command-line reboot seems to fix the problem.
So is this a known issue, or just some random unsolved bug? It doesn't appear to cause any actual problem with the hosts, so far it is just an annoyance to be forced to manually reboot the vCenter server every few weeks via the web or command-line and clearly this should NOT be happening.
