missing vCenter Servers Objects

Hi all, I'm new to the vCenter Server side of things. My goal is to get vCenter FT working between 2 servers running ESXi 6. I'm using trial versions of both 2008 R2 and vCenter Server.

I installed a fresh copy of Windows 2008 R2 update 1 onto a server.  I then installed vCenter Server onto the same server. From here I would need to create the Datacenter... But, I can't create a Datacenter without a vCenter Server.

Here I am trying to create a Datacenter -

Then I go to the vCenter Server section -

Nothing listed and no option to add a new one.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.
