I have a short query on an issue recently faced with my client environment.
VM's are configured with Thick Provision Lazy Zero format on Datastore which was configured in Thin Provision from storage level (HP 3 PAR)
There are more than 200 VM's hosted in this datastore, but one fine morning i am unable to power on few VM's with error not enough storage. Then i cleared some space from storage level and issue resolved.
My question why datastore allowed to grow even VMDK's are configured in Thick?
