vcenter update 3b rollback

Hi Everyone

I need to rollback my vcenter center server appliance to pre update 3b.  Its been approx  2 weeks since I applied the update.  Normally I'd restore the back up that I made -- back up, not a snapshot, but my chief concern with this approach is that I'd have major issues with my distributed switches given the time since the backup.  Something I dont want to deal with.  I only have one host that I applied the ssl updates to.  I can roll that back easy enough. 

Is there a documented approach to rollback the update on the appliance?  Didnt see anything obvious on the forums or google
