Had a working vCenter and did DR backup with Symantec Backup Exec.
Restored the backup to a different drive on the same server.
Everything works except vCenter - service is not starting:
The description for Event ID 1000 from source VMware VirtualCenter Server cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Error getting configuration info from the database
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
The VMware VirtualCenter Server service terminated with service-specific error The system cannot find the file specified..
The service specific error is 2.
I have search and these are common error issues, but the solutions do not seem to work for me.
My next step is probably to R&R the vCenter software, but I would rather not if someone has an idea here. This needs to be part of by DR process.
