I am really desperately hoping someone with some Nortel switch knowledge can help me out with this.
On the back of my IBM Blade chassis are some "Nortel Layer2-3 GbE Switch Module" switches. These switches connect to a dell switch. Currently everyone is happy and everyone can talk. VLANs are configured and everyone is good. However I have been trying to setup a LACP between the Nortel and the Dell.
Everytime I do this though, it seems as though the Nortel stops correctly routing some Vlan tagged traffic. I know with Dells you simply add the ports to a port-channel, then treat the port-channel like any other port...Adding it to VLans and all the other stuff. But Nortels just seem to be a different beast entirely.
I have confidence that without the LACP I have the vlans and everything setup correctly(because everything is fine this way), and I also feel like the LACP is being established between the two switches. I just feel like there is some extra configuration I seems to be missing with LACP in regards to VLANs on the Nortel.....
If anyone at all can help I would greatly appreciate it, and will definitely award points.
