Unable to add Hosts: Error parsing vendor string

Attempting to add an ESXi host to vCenter it gives the following error:

I am hoping someone has seen this before, but I can't find anything in the KB for it.

I have tried loading the host with ESXi 4.1 or 5.0 with the same result.

Is there any was to have it skip parsing the vendor property or change the vendor string in the ESXi host?
