Cold migrating VM's makes the VM's nic disappear

Hi, I was doing some cold migrations, from one ESXi5 host (HostA) to another ESXi5 host (HostB) with no shared storage (only local), using vCenter5.

I noted that some of the VM's that where migrated, was not showing the primary nic in the VM (all Win2008 R2 VM's), but instead added a second nic with DHCP as default. Why did that happen?

The ESXi hosts have the same build number (latest update, 623860).

And one interesting thing, not all VM's where affected by this.

- VM's that used to be hosted on a ESXi 4.1 host, and then migrated to a ESXi5 host, and the migrated to another ESXi 5 host where not affected.

- VM's that where created from scratch on Host A (ESXi 5) and then migrated to HostB (ESXi 5), all had the same problem.

Have anyone experienced this before? And what can I do to solve it?

Right now my only solution was to manually edit the IP settings on each VM on the new nic that appered.
